Travel Terms and Conditions
Upon confirming your booking, you have agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen is located at the Houtrijkstraat 251, 1013 VB in Amsterdam. We offer pre-organized trips and vacations in our own name, and in the execution of our company.
Our counterparty, those at whose benefit the trip has been stipulated and who has accepted said stipulation.
The agreement with which De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen undertakes towards her counterparty to provide an organized tour and/or other travel product offered from the current travel catalog.
An organized trip offered and published in the travel catalog by De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen that includes an overnight stay or at least a period of 24 hours, as well as at least two of the following services: return flight, lodging, local transportation, guide, and another tourist service not related to transportation; that spans a significant amount of the trip.
You are in charge of booking your own return flight, but you will book a pre-organized trip through De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen, which includes accommodation and lodging, transportation, and itinerary including excursions. Any and all country arrangements are always upon request. Arranging for a return flight is always your own responsibility.
The description of hotels and other accommodations used in the travel offers of De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen is drafted as objective as possible. Any and all included pictures are only an indication of décor, sizes, and/or views. The accommodation will always meet the standard requirements as described in the travel offer.
Arranging for a return flight is your own responsibility.
The travel route is mentioned in the travel offer. The leading objective of the organized trip is the travel from airport of arrival to the airport of departure.
Keep in mind that the airline guidelines regarding checked luggage and carry-on items need to be followed for all our organized trips, unless otherwise stated in the travel offer by De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen. In that case, the guidelines for that specific organized trip need to be honored.
As soon as the traveler has submitted a booking form, the booking is finalized, and all Terms and Conditions apply.
Cancellation by the Traveler
If the traveler cancels the travel agreement, they are responsible for any and all reservation fees to De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen, as well as the below mentioned cancellation fees:
• Cancellation more than 56 days prior to departure: 25% of the travel sum;
• Cancellation between the 56th and the 28th day prior to departure: 50% of the travel sum;
• Cancellation between the 28th and 14th day prior to departure: 75% of the travel sum;
• Cancellation between the 14th day prior to and the actual day of departure: 100% of the travel sum;
If an organized trip is composed of several travel elements to which different cancellation policies apply, the specific cancellation policies for that element of the trip as specified by the supplier apply. No later than upon booking will you be informed of any and all cancellation policies and fees that might apply to elements of the trip. If a traveler within a traveling party wishes to cancel his/her share in the organized trip as specified in the travel agreement, he/she is responsible for the applicable cancellation fees. If this (partial) cancellation results in additional fees, for example a single room fee or other costs, they will be charged to you, the primary booker. The applicable remaining travelers will have their change in costs calculated according to these change fees and/or the overview of room and boarding fees associated with your trip. The regular payment regulations of De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen will remain in place. If the change or cancellation is not possible or accepted, the agreement will be cancelled for all travelers, and the applicable cancellation fees will be due.
Cancellation is only possible via phone or email, during regular business hours on Monday through Saturday. The most recent and correct opening hours can be found on our website at www.asia-travelnow.com
• Upon booking at eight weeks or more until departure: deposit of 30% of the travel sum.
• The remainder needs to be in our account no less than eight weeks prior to departure.
• If the agreement is closed less than eight weeks prior to departure, the entire travel sum needs to be paid immediately.
Valid travel documents are the responsibility of the traveler. You need to be in the possession of the correct, valid travel documents well prior to the departure date.
All children need to be in the possession of their own travel documents.
De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen assumes Dutch citizenship in the information mentioned above. Foreign partners of the Dutch De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen sometimes need the appropriate travel visa. We recommend you to contact the applicable embassy, or the embassy of the travel destination and/or country of layover if this is the case.
All published trips are excluding any and all associated costs regarding:
Warranty fund contribution
Meals not mentioned in the itinerary
Optional excursions as a supplementation to the daily itinerary
Travel and cancellation insurance
Participation in the communal tip jar is voluntary, tip payment takes place on the spot.
Personal expenses and such are never included.
Bill of Good Health
It is your own responsibility to check if any of your destinations and any out-of-the-ordinary excursion maintain any applicable health advices (for example preventative regulations to prevent certain diseases or conditions). Information regarding health, vaccinations, and recommendations for your travel destination can be provided by your primary care physician or local GGD.
Minimum and Maximum Number of Travelers
The minimum number of travelers per organized trip is mentioned on the website. De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen reserves the right to cancel the organized trip if the minimum number of travelers has not been reached by 14 days prior to the departure date. However, we will always try our very best to execute the organized trip after all, and prevent disappointments. We will first discuss all options with you, and we are generally able to offer one of the following options:
– The organized trip will be executed, however, a price increase will apply
– You will be offered an alternative departure date
– You will be offered a different type of organized trip (an individual trip, for example)
– The organized trip will be executed using a smaller bus
– The organized trip will be executed using a different airline
– A combination of abovementioned options.
The maximum number of travelers is usually set at 16 people, unless otherwise mentioned in the travel catalog on our website. In general, De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen does not exceed the maximum number of travelers.
Traveling with Children
Unfortunately, our organized group trips are not suitable for children under 12 year of age. We can therefore we cannot accept any children younger than 12 years of age into our organized group trips. Children in the age of 12 through 18 years of age may participate in our organized group trips if they are accompanied by their parent(s) or guardian(s). You are free to contact us regarding a custom quote for an individual organized trip if you would really like to travel with children under 12 yeard of age and would like to book through De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen.
Participants of an organized trip by De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen need to be in sufficient physical fitness and health. If you have a physical disability or reduced mobility that might interfere with the proper execution of the organized trip, we advise you to book your trip with a larger travel organization than De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen, as De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen does not have access to the necessary tools to accommodate an adapted travel itinerary. If you fail to inform us of your disability, we may resort to excluding you from participation. In that case, no restitution of the travel sum is possible.
Local Excusion Liability
De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen does not accept any liability if you decide to book and/or participate in any excursion apart from those offered and/or executed by De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen. Your guide is not available to advice or mediate for you. Abovementioned excursions are explicitly not part of the travel itinerary as provided by De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen, for both excursions included in the itinerary as well as optional offered excursions. De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen cannot be held liable for any damage, loss, or injury, of any kind, as a result of those externally booked excursions. Participation is therefore at your own risk.
Validity of Trips and Prices
All previous trip itineraries and prices mentioned in any and all brochures expire as soon as a new brochure is published. At this point, only the new prices and programs as mentioned in the new brochure and/or on the website are valid. All published prices are based on a stay in a double room. The most recent information regarding pricing, itinerary, and other information can be found atwww.asia-travelnow.com
. All content regarding trip travel offers on the website of De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen is legally binding. It can always happen that the travel itinerary gets modified after initial publishing, however, this is usually an improvement of the actual trip and/or its execution.
Right of Withdrawal
Upon concluding a travel agreement with De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen, you are not granted any reflection period.
Mandatory Christmas and New Year’s Eve Dinner Fees
In some countries, it is mandatory to pay an additional fee to attend Christmas or New Year’s Eve dinners, if you happen to stay at one of the De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen destinations during that time of year. If this fee has not been included in the initial invoice or exceeds the amount charged therein, you will receive a separate invoice, as soon as the exact fees are known.
It is not possible to substitute any travelers if you book an organized trip through De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen.
Travel Sum Price Differences
De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen has varying prices, as the travel cost is always based on the most recent fares and fees. All our tours are priced to reflect the best price available at that time. Availability of special offers or discounted trips is limited.
You will receive your travel documents seven days prior to departure through email. You are required to check the provided information to make sure all is correct. If there are any discrepancies present, you are required to immediately notify De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen. If you would prefer to receive all trip-related communications, including travel documents, in the mail, please notify us at the time of booking, and additional costs are associated with this. The exact amount can be found on your invoice.
Travel duration of our organized trips is always mentioned in full days, including arrival and departure days, regardless of arrival and departure times. In some cases, this could mean that the actual time at the destination is less than mentioned in the trip offer.
Trip Itinerary, Flight Times, and Departure Days
We will inform you about the trip itinerary and departure days online. The information provided is always without prejudice. You will receive the definitive flight itinerary and all travel documents 14 days prior to departure through email.
The Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen reserves the right to exclude customers that have booked a holiday both prior to and during the trip from participation in case of weighty circumstances. Weighty circumstances are defined by De Specialist in Wellness & Azië reizen as being, among other things, physical fitness or behavior; a client can be removed from further participation on the trip if a customer’s behavior justifies doing so. Any and all associated costs will be charged to the account of the traveler. Missed travel days will not be refunded.
Guarantee arranged | STO Garant
A guarantee in place: STO Garant
In order to meet its statutory obligation to provide a guarantee, De specialist in wellness & Azië reizen uses STO Garant, a guarantee scheme recognised by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM). You can check that this is the case by visiting STO Garant’s website and verifying that the organisation is listed as a participant (www.sto-garant.nl/en/members). You can find all information relating to STO Garant at www.sto-garant.nl/en.
Whether STO Garant’s guarantee applies to a particular (travel) offer made by De specialist in wellness & Azië reizen is specified for that offer. The Guarantee Scheme specifies what the guarantee covers and which conditions apply. You can find the Guarantee Scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto- garant.nl/en/downloads).
How it works
If STO Garant’s guarantee applies to your booking, you do not pay the booking amount to De specialist in wellness & Azië reizen but instead into the escrow account belonging to Stichting Derdengelden Certo Escrow, a payment services provider registered with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). This trust account holds your payment in reserve until the trip booked has come to an end. The booking amount is then released to De specialist in wellness & Azië reizen on the day after your trip ends. If De specialist in wellness & Azië reizen should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases.
